I want to encourage you this week with Isaiah 43:2-3 which says “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”
I find it amazing that the Word of God does not promise us that as Christians we won’t face hard times. In fact, Jesus tells us in John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Tough times do come because there is an enemy out there who comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10) but when we lean on Jesus, we find the strength to overcome! I love that Isaiah 43 tells us that there will be difficult times, but with each difficulty we won’t be consumed by it, we won’t even look like we went through anything because we will come out victorious.
The enemy can give his best shot, but in the end, we win because Jesus defeated him! So through the difficulties, take heart, Because you have the overcomer on the inside of you!
